Welcome to the first ever do_action WordPress Charity Hackathon in Ahmedabad held on 7th Sep 2019.
The do_action is an event where our local WordPress community gathers to give back to non-profit organizations through the creation of websites. All sites are created for FREE. We also offer WordPress training to all non-profit organizations that are selected on the day of the event.

On Day Plan
Event registration begins at 9:00 AM.
9:00 AM to 10:00 AM registration, introductions and breakfast.
10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Development of the websites in individual groups.
1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Lunch and networking
2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Development of the websites in individual groups.
4:00 PM to 5:00 PM Closing ceremonies, handover of the websites and presentations by Project Managers
Who can participate?
Each of these websites will be worked by a team of 5-7 people in the following roles:
Project managers
UX UI Designers
Content Creators
Social Network / Community Managers
Developers (2 or 3) per team.
So, if you reside in the Ahmedabad, and have some experience in making websites with WordPress, or simply have an interest in WordPress, you can participate.
Sponsorships
We are also looking for sponsors to make this event successful. We expect a participation of around 50 to 75 people from all different industries. We are looking for the domain sponsor. You can email us on wcahmedabad@gmail.com to chat about it.
Non-profit organizations
If you would like a brand new website for your organization then apply to be a part of the event by filling out the application form below.
The requirements for applying are that you are based in Ahmedabad. If you are selected as one of the organizations, a representative from the community will sit down with you to plan out your website. On the day of the hackathon, a team of volunteers will diligently build your website for you in a fun and dedicated environment.
What do the participants get?
You have the opportunity to work as a team, learn from each other, share knowledge and skills.
Help local organizations obtain a website designed by experts.
We will have fun and make new friends while we do it!
Your meals and refreshments throughout the day will be taken care of.
